Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a facility management program, including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
  • Conduct regular facilities inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities-related equipment and plan and oversee facility-related projects, renovations, and refurbishments.
  • Plan and manage facility central services, such as reception, cleaning, waste disposal, and parking.
  • Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers, coordinate and monitor activities of external contractors, and manage contractor and vendor relationships.
  • Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met, verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing, and plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff, performance management, development, and training of staff, and prepare and track facility budget.
  • Monitor expenses and payments, generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases, and develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.
  • Advise on and monitor energy efficiency, respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures, and provide prompt response to requests on facility-related issues.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, or related qualification such as project management, business management, or construction management.
  • Experience: Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management, business administration, financial principles and practices, electrical and mechanical systems, and procurement and contracts.
  • Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, experience in construction, maintenance, and all facets of facility operation, and supervisory experience.
  • Solid computer and systems knowledge, including Microsoft office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
