Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Temple, Texas.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, Ob/Gyn, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal, and small parts. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform multiple modality ultrasound procedures, utilizing a variety of equipment and techniques to obtain accurate and high-quality results.
  • Identify and define abnormalities specific to the procedure, extending the scope of the examination as necessary to answer clinical questions.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, obtaining clinical history and related physical findings to ensure comprehensive and diagnostic exams.
  • Record statistics and perform daily maintenance of the ultrasound lab and its equipment, reporting any malfunctions as appropriate.
  • Act as a resource to other staff, physicians, and students regarding equipment, techniques, procedures, and studies to optimize patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • 2 years of experience in ultrasound technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • One of the following certifications: ACS, ARRT-S, ARRT-VI, MSK, RCCS, RCS, RDCS, RDCS-PE, RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, RDMS-FE, RDMS-OB, RDMS-PS, RVS, or RVT.
