About the Role

Airgas is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential safety hazards and quality issues.
  • Communicate effectively with production supervisors and maintenance management to ensure that repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack as needed to perform job functions.
  • Enter data into maintenance and inventory software systems to track equipment performance and maintenance history.
  • Comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the production team.
Work Environment

This role requires working in an unconditioned workspace, which may be warm in the summer and cool in the winter. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to ensure safety, including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes. The work environment may also involve wet and oily floors, which can create slipping hazards.

Requirements
  • Three (3) years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment working in a maintenance capacity.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, and Ammonia experience.
  • High degree of technical aptitude and skill to learn the function and repair of plant production equipment.
  • Self-starter able to take direction, problem solve to repair and maintain plant production equipment and systems.
  • Good written and verbal skills with basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Proficient with data entry and manipulation of maintenance software and inventory systems.
  • Able to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
