Position Overview: We are currently seeking both part-time and full-time Kitchen Sanitation Associates for our Charlottesville, VA location. These associates will work within the Food and Beverage sector, ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen environment. The following shifts are available:

Full-Time PM Shift: 11:45 AM - 8:15 PM

Part-Time PM Shift: 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM and weekends as required

Weekend shifts may be necessary based on operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently wash and rinse dishes, glasses, and silverware, maintaining appropriate sterilization temperatures and adding soap as necessary.
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal, along with other assigned tasks.
  • Thoroughly wash and sanitize all dinnerware and glassware.
  • Sanitize pots and pans, assisting the Cook in cleaning service ware.
  • Sort, wash, and sanitize silverware.
  • Properly store all china, glass, and other items in designated locations.
  • Conduct sweeping and mopping of the entire kitchen area at the end of each shift.
  • Dispose of trash as needed and at the conclusion of the shift.
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation under the guidance of the Cook and Chef, following sanitation protocols.
  • Assist with stock duties as required, including storage tasks.
  • Support kitchen operations as requested by the Lead Cook or Foodservice Manager on duty.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Effective and courteous communication skills with other staff members are essential.
  • Adherence to all Safety & Sanitation standards is required, including obtaining ServSafe certification.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures is mandatory.
