Job Opportunity

CMI Management LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Janitor to join our team in Charlottesville, VA. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glasses, and silverware, ensuring proper temperature and soap usage
  • Sweep, mop, and take out trash, as well as assist with other duties as assigned
  • Sanitize dinner china and glassware, and assist the cook in cleaning service ware
  • Separate, wash, and sanitize silverware, and put away items in proper storage locations
  • Sweep and mop the entire kitchen area at the end of the shift
  • Take out trash as needed and at the end of the shift
  • Follow sanitation instructions and maintain kitchen sanitation under the direction of the cook and chef
  • Assist with stock duties, such as storage, and kitchen duties as requested by the lead cook or foodservice manager

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and courteously with other staff
  • Must adhere to all safety and sanitation standards, including acquiring ServSafe certification
  • Must be able to work with little to no direct supervision
  • Must follow all policies and procedures
