We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at York College of Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities- Perform complex plumbing work, including diagnosing defects, installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems and equipment.
- Respond to daily service requests and interact with customers and staff in a professional manner.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete multi-trade projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, inspecting, and repairing equipment and facilities.
- Assist in emergency response events, including snow removal operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations and be available for call-out work and special events.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Masters or Journeyman's license in PA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in plumbing.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Backflow tester certification or ability to become certified preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in the plumbing trade.
- Demonstrated knowledge of common hazards and necessary safety precautions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local, state, and national plumbing codes.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to physical demands, including standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, reaching, and climbing ladders. The ability to work in confined spaces and elevated spaces is also required.
