About the Program

Our 12-month residency program is designed to provide you with the skills and confidence you need to succeed as a registered nurse in our General Surgery Unit. You'll work alongside experienced nurses and educators who will guide you through a comprehensive curriculum of clinical training, simulation, and hands-on experience.

Requirements

To be eligible for our RN Residency Program, you'll need to have:

  • A current RN license in the state of Virginia
  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCL) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment
