We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Development Engineer with a strong background in Data Science to join our team at ArcelorMittal North America. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced data analysis and machine learning techniques to drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain advanced predictive models for process and product solutions using data analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art machine learning models, business intelligence dashboards, and web applications to support R&D Global Digitization activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support R&D Global Digitization activities and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Install, configure, automate, and monitor various HPC cloud services and technical solutions on Azure and other technology platforms.
  • Develop and expand existing Oracle and SQL databases to support data-driven decision making.
  • Support overall laboratory automation and knowledgebase systems to ensure efficient data management and analysis.
  • Assist in the acquisition, compilation, validation, and analysis of trial data from multiple sources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tools and methods for data analysis, machine learning, and digitalization, and educate other Researchers on available tools.
  • Communicate project results in reports, presentations, and publications.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques in data analysis and experience developing and implementing AI algorithms.
  • Good knowledge of virtualization, cloud computing, and data analytics.
  • Strong team player with well-developed communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, Statistics (design of experiments, data analysis, and model formulation).
  • Strong Computer Programming (Python, C++, Java, etc.) experience.
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Understanding of both traditional data warehousing solutions and modern big data architectures, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficient in planning and managing projects.
  • Ability to work efficiently and productively with minimal supervision.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with Relational Database Administration using Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL.
  • Experience in data integration solutions, data warehousing.
  • Real-world application of cloud-based tools such as Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience programming Python, PHP with some experience using PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter.
  • Experience creating web-based user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Good knowledge of virtualization, cloud computing, and data analytics.
  • Prior experience with MATLAB.
Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or higher.
Other Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a data engineering role.
  • Strong Teamwork and a hands-on working approach.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with IT and project teams working at remote ArcelorMittal locations.
  • Ability to travel as needed for projects.
