Key Responsibilities- Conduct repairs, replacements, and refurbishments of aircraft structures, including wings and fuselage, utilizing various hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Perform routine inspections in accordance with manufacturer and operator maintenance programs, providing detailed reports on discrepancies.
- Interpret and analyze manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to assess repair feasibility and methods.
- Inspect, replace, and repair worn or damaged components using precision tools and testing equipment.
- Disassemble components for inspection, checking for wear and defects.
- Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories as needed.
- Specialize in the repair and modification of structural and functional spare parts.
- Execute engine repairs, including removal and reinstallation.
- Perform additional duties as required by the position.
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft mechanical troubleshooting and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with specialized aircraft tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload effectively.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification in Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in aircraft and engine maintenance.
- Knowledge of various aircraft components and hardware.
- Familiarity with specific aircraft models is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exposure to high noise levels from turbine and jet engines.
- Handling of oily parts and lubricants is required.
- Operation of various power tools and machinery is necessary.
Salary range: $52,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Full-time position with a 4-day, 10-hour work week.
