Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Technician to join our team in GAC Westfield. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and expertise in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems.
- Develop and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule requirements without compromising safety or quality.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure a skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
- Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, including troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning systems.
- Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
- Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conducting functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
- Document all work performed on the aircraft, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Enforce company safety regulations, including the FOD program, tool control program, and 5-S program.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 6 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and 4 years of related experience.
- A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
This is a full-time position with a shift schedule that may include up to 25% travel. Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is an equal opportunity employer and does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position.
