We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our power systems team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering complex power systems projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver complex power systems projects, including preliminary design, detailed design, and equipment specification.
  • Acquire on-site measurements and data to accomplish design or monitor plant performance.
  • Coordinate equipment delivery and design engineering to meet construction schedules.
  • Check completed jobs for adequacy of design and documentation.
  • Monitor project construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Power Systems preferred) or related field from an accredited university.
  • Substation experience and 7-8 years of experience in the utilities industry operating within a P&C capacity.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of industry and national codes and standards.
  • Excellent management experience, including internal teams, external teams, and projects.
  • Strong analytical skills for project planning from a P&C perspective.
  • Experience with power systems software packages, such as Cape, Aspen Oneliner, CDEGS, WingIS, SKM, and ETAP.
  • Willingness to travel for site surveys, project scope walks, and meetings.
  • IEC 61850 protocol knowledge.
