We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Supervisor to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our respiratory care department, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the clinical and technical aspects of respiratory services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate respiratory care services, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide clinical and technical expertise to staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Conduct regular performance audits and provide coaching and feedback to staff members.
- Coordinate yearly competencies and ensure timely completion of departmental goals.
- Perform therapeutic procedures as necessary, including respiratory care for patients of all ages.
- Assure that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned according to departmental protocol.
- Coordinate staff activities to ensure prompt delivery of quality patient care.
- Complete employee evaluations and provide mid-year coaching sessions.
- Participate in a rotational supervisory on-call system to ensure adequate staffing and departmental functioning.
- Associate's degree in Applied Sciences or equivalent.
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Minimum of 2 years as a staff therapist.
- 3 years of supervisor or manager experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
- NJ Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
This role requires the ability to lift small cylinders weighing approximately 20 lbs. and unfasten regulators. Additionally, the ability to roll T-size cylinders weighing approximately 165 lbs. a distance of 15 ft. and remove and replace regulator fittings is required.
