Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team at Terex Corporation. As a Welding Specialist, you will be responsible for performing welding operations, loading and unloading parts, and ensuring that welds conform to our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding operations, including loading and unloading parts and weldments in various welding fixtures.
  • Review blueprints and schematic drawings to ensure proper weld sizes and lengths are used.
  • Prepare welding equipment for proper usage and layout equipment to perform as needed.
  • Assure that welds conform to Genie quality standards and product specifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objective of the position.
Requirements
  • Basic technical knowledge of Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) welding.
  • Preferred: 1 year Gas Metal Arc (MIG) welding experience.
  • Experience in producing quality parts using welding fixtures in a fast-paced environment.
  • Related technical ability and good understanding of production processes and equipment.
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Pass Genie/AWP Weld Test.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Experience in heavy and light steel fabrication and welding.
  • Use of precision measuring tools and instruments, i.e. scales and calipers.

The work is performed in a manufacturing environment where significant safety considerations exist from the use of dangerous equipment, proximity to moving objects, full-body physical labor, and handling of medium-to-heavy weight materials.
