Position Summary
The role of the Electrical Maintenance Specialist is crucial in supporting the infrastructure of our facilities. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems within our buildings. You will be a key player in maintaining a productive and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a range of electrical tasks in compliance with local and national electrical standards.
- Install and repair electrical systems and equipment, utilizing manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Troubleshoot and maintain AC/DC voltage systems across various voltages.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems.
- Utilize a maintenance reporting system to track work orders, materials, and maintenance activities.
- Identify and report any faulty operations or defective materials to management.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulatory guidelines to foster a secure working environment.
- Be available for shift work, including evenings and weekends, as well as emergency responses.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience in commercial electrical work.
- Possession of a Fire License is advantageous.
- Understanding of electrical principles and the ability to read testing equipment.
- Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment safely.
- Able to interpret manuals and schematics effectively.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and structured environment.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and manage time efficiently.
- Physical capability to perform various tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
