About the Role

Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Diversion Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our community outreach program, you will play a vital role in providing critical support services to individuals in need.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced professional to fill this exciting opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Social Behavioral Sciences and a minimum of two years of experience in mental health services. Strong crisis assessment and stabilization skills are essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct hospital diversion, jail diversion, and acute crisis services to individuals in need.
  • Work closely with law enforcement agencies, mental health professionals, and community social services to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Conduct face-to-face screenings, interventions, and assessments to identify suitable diversion options.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on diversion activity, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Crisis Intervention Team and Catholic Charities Program Evaluation to track reporting data and improve service delivery.

Requirements
  • Masters degree in Social Behavioral Sciences required.
  • Minimum of two years experience in the provision of professional Mental Health Services.
  • Licensure as a Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist within the state of Washington, preferred.
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration, required.
  • Designated Mental Health Professional status or able and willing to obtain Designation within 3 months of hire.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Valid Washington State drivers license and agency minimum required liability insurance.
