We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Louisiana Methodist Children's Home. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality care to our adolescent residents and support the Director of Nursing Services in various aspects of healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing Services in the screening and oversight of the health care of all children assigned to their care.
- Provide emergency oversight of medical services as needed for clients and staff.
- Assist in the maintenance of systems and processes related to health care functions, including infection control and employee health.
- Monitor Child Care staff in the performance of their health care responsibilities.
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse with a valid Louisiana license; two years of experience preferred in working with adolescents.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with youth and staff.
- Excellent organizational, teaching, and leadership skills.
- Ability to function effectively as a team member of the professional staff with a focus on problem-solving and outcomes.
This position requires a strong sense of personal authority, maturity, and integrity for an influential and authoritarian role with youth and staff. The ideal candidate will have a fundamental love for children and a desire to be an agent for change in their lives.
