Job Title: Certified Direct Support Professional II Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Direct Support Professional II Caregiver to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network in Whittier, CA.

About the Role:

The Direct Support Professional II (DSP2) will assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives in a home setting. This includes assisting with complete care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs, as well as redirecting behaviors with various activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with bathroom needs and change undergarments and/or clothing as needed.
  • Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
  • Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
  • Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients as written in Individual Program Plan.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, CPI, and MUST have DSP 1 & DSP 2.
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses with challenging behaviors.
  • Minimum Driving Experience: Must have a valid in-state drivers license, be over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.
