We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day payroll functions at AmeriCold Logistics. This role will be part of the leadership team that supports payroll and tax administration, analyzes payroll data, and ensures payrolls are processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with law regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise payroll staff and ensure payroll-related deadlines are met within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Develop the knowledge, abilities, and skills of the payroll team.
- Be knowledgeable about and understand new legislation impacting payroll.
- Review payroll procedures and amend procedures when required.
- Lead system upgrades and compliance changes as required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years' management experience.
- Minimum 5 years' payroll processing experience.
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality to payroll and personal information.
- Ability to successfully balance competing priorities and effectively manage workload.
- Results-oriented, accountable, analytical, and highly organized.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM & Payroll.
- Understanding of Canada payroll, wage and hour compliance regulations.
- Canada Revenue Agency knowledge of tax remittance balances and year-end T4s.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
