About the Role

The Senior Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving is a key member of the LightHouse team, responsible for leading and executing the organization's major gifts and planned giving strategies. This role involves identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and planned giving prospects to secure significant financial resources and support the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for major gifts and planned giving programs to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with a portfolio of major donors and prospects.
  • Design and manage a planned giving program, including identifying potential donors, creating marketing materials, and developing personalized solicitation strategies.
  • Utilize donor database and CRM systems to track progress, analyze data, and generate reports on fundraising activities.
  • Plan and execute donor recognition events, fundraising campaigns, and other activities to engage and inspire donors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a focus on major gifts and planned giving.
  • Proven track record of securing significant major gifts and planned gifts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals, presentations, and reports.
