Job Title: Head Lifeguard

Join the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids team as a Head Lifeguard, responsible for ensuring the safety of aquatic program participants. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to react quickly in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer emergency First Aid and CPR
  • Supervise lifeguards and maintain a safe environment
  • Teach swim lessons and enforce aquatic rules
  • Maintain pool and deck equipment
  • Assist with trainings and maintain records
Requirements:
  • 1 year of leadership experience and 1-3 years lifeguarding experience
  • YMCA Lifeguard Certification and CPR certification
  • Ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds
