Job Summary:

The Lead Night Custodian is a key member of the ASM Global team, responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities during nighttime hours. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Train Custodial Staff: Instruct, advise, and demonstrate work methods, practices, and procedures for completing job assignments and assist in the training of site custodians.
  • Maintain High Standards of Cleanliness: Conduct spot inspections to ensure the site is kept to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform minor or routine maintenance on custodial equipment and ensure the smooth operation of custodial work.
  • Assist with Event Setup and Teardown: Assist with the setup and teardown of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and events.
  • Secure Facilities: Lock and unlock assigned spaces, secure the building when facilities are not in use, and check for unlocked doors and windows.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies, and use as directed.
  • Uphold Department Standards: Uphold department and ASM Global standards, procedures, and policies.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two + years janitorial experience or the equivalent as approved by management. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Skills: Essential capabilities in interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculating, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, organizing, and innovation.
