Pediatric Dentist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Dentist to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. As a Pediatric Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to children and adolescents, including routine check-ups, fillings, extractions, and other treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients, including routine check-ups, fillings, extractions, and other treatments.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry and implement best practices in the clinic.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on oral health and hygiene.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school approved by the American Dental Association (ADA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • One or more full years of experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing professional dentistry work for GS-12 level and above assignments.
  • Ability to distinguish shades of color.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Board certification in pediatric dentistry.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
