Summary

This position is located with the Division of Clinical Services, Dental Service Branch at Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a clinical specialist in Pediatric Dentistry to provide dental services. Provide primary clinic, along with consultative, training and program planning services.



Duties
  • Diagnostic dental services, through the use of history, radiographs, examinations, diagnostic models and other appropriate test.
  • Provided treatment to difficult management cases and special needs patients. Responsible for treating patients both in the clinic and in the operating room and providing pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care.
  • Provides diagnosis and pediatric treatment of congenital abnormalities of the oral regions.
  • Emergency dental services, including the treatment of trauma, pain and infection.
  • Provide continuing dental education for pediatric treatment and management. Participates in the development and implementation of continuing education courses.
