Core Responsibilities:

  • Offer legal advice on a wide array of labor, employment, and benefits-related issues, encompassing recruitment, onboarding, training, diversity and inclusion initiatives, performance evaluation, employee relations, compliance with regulations, handling complaints, conducting investigations, and resolving disputes.
  • Prepare and evaluate offer letters, separation agreements, corporate policies, employee handbooks, and documentation related to benefit plans.
  • Support governance related to compensation and benefit plans and assist relevant committees.
  • Stay informed on changes in employment law regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Collaborate in managing and supervising engagements with external legal counsel for relevant matters.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law institution and active membership in the New York bar.
  • Over 10 years of experience in employment law, either in a law firm or in-house; experience in the financial services sector is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical abilities along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment, practical decision-making, and a high standard of integrity.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.

The salary range for this position is between $300K and $350K. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Offers are typically not made at the upper end of the salary range.

This position may also qualify for a discretionary performance-based bonus contingent on individual and company performance.

Eligible employees can participate in a 401(k) plan with company profit-sharing contributions, along with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and paid time off for holidays, vacations, and sick leave.
