Job Summary

As a Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist at HexaQuEST Global, Inc., you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our state-of-the-art laboratory information management systems and high-performance computing devices. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our server infrastructure, including server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization platforms. You will also be responsible for managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls, as well as implementing security measures to protect our data and systems. Additionally, you will work closely with our IT teams to prepare platform enhancements and configurations, identify areas for optimization, and develop detailed architectural diagrams and procedure documents.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert-level support for server and related infrastructure
Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and operating systems
Administer and manage VMWare infrastructure, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and virtual machines
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Implement security measures, including backups and data protection
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
Work with IT teams to prepare platform enhancements and configurations
Identify areas for optimization and develop detailed architectural diagrams and procedure documents

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure administration
Expert-level knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization platforms
Strong understanding of security measures and data protection
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
