Fairview Health Services invites you to become a part of the largest health system-based specialty pharmacy in the country as a Specialty Pharmacy Technician.

This role involves providing telephonic support to pharmacy patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacies, ensuring that patients are qualified for and receive their prescribed medications accurately and promptly through suitable delivery methods.

This encompasses patient monitoring, customer assistance, problem-solving, and/or escalation processes.

This is a full-time position with daytime hours from Monday to Friday, including a Saturday rotation approximately every three months.

Key Responsibilities:


Conduct the intake process for mail-order, specialty, transplant, and limited distribution pharmacy patients, which includes new patient registration, insurance validation, and scheduling medication refills and deliveries.


Under the supervision of a pharmacist, accept prescriptions/orders from patients, process them manually or via the designated computer systems and protocols accurately and promptly, adhering to all legal, regulatory, and Fairview standards.


Qualifications:

Required:
Minimum of three months of experience as a pharmacy technician

Registered Technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy

Completion of an on-the-job (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program within the first year of employment if necessary. (This training is provided)

Preferred:
Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program

At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a call center setting
