Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our company, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Process prescriptions, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and patients, engaging with them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in the Walgreens pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, which provides a nationally recognized, portable credential that will help you advance your career.
Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Prefer good computer skills.
  • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
