As a Cardiac Sonographer at John Muir Health, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart-related diseases. Your expertise in operating and adjusting ultrasound equipment will enable you to produce high-quality images of the heart muscle and functioning, providing valuable insights for medical professionals.
Responsibilities:- Set up and operate ultrasound equipment to capture cardiac images and data.
- Attach electrodes to patients and operate equipment to record cardiac data and measurements.
- Protect and assist patients during the imaging process.
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Completion of a Cardiac Sonography Program.
- BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- ARDMS and CCI certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in adult Transthoracic, Transesophageal, Stress echocardiography, EKG, and Holter monitor hook-up.
- Excellent organizational, grammatical, and communication skills.
40 hours per week, with a shift of 13:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Please note that positions at John Muir Health are exempt from overtime under the level of Manager.
