Role Overview:
The Senior Laboratory Technician will conduct nutrient evaluations for a variety of nutritional products, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks. This role involves executing analytical assessments on both raw materials and final products in accordance with established protocols, under the supervision of a laboratory manager or testing expert. The technician is expected to deliver top-tier results while complying with safety regulations and laboratory standards. There may be opportunities to contribute to method enhancement, investigations, and validation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, assess, and process nutrient analyses on research specimens.
- Evaluate findings against set specifications, ensuring all analytical documentation is thorough, precise, and compliant.
- Uphold best practices within the laboratory environment.
- Conduct accurate and meticulous testing in line with laboratory methodologies.
- Manage sample timelines and address any sample backlogs effectively.
- Utilize various analytical instruments, including performing maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Execute wet chemistry analyses.
- Investigate any deviations in methods or unexpected results.
- Guarantee compliance, data integrity, and adherence to standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and internal regulations.
Required Competencies:

Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Fundamental wet chemistry skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with HPLC and ICP techniques.
- Familiarity with Sample Manager (LIMS) and other laboratory data management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
This position is classified as Non-Exempt. Overtime hours will be compensated at a rate of Time and a Half.
