Job Title: Production Associate

Join Airgas, a leading provider of industrial gases and services, as a Production Associate in our Waterford, CT facility. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient filling of gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect cylinders prior to filling, adhering to government, Airgas, and distributor standards.
  • Conduct safety checks, including odor tests, cap and valve inspections, and product analysis.
  • Handle high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders, preparing them for filling and attaching them to manifolds.
  • Fill cylinders by pressure and weight, following regulations and standards.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cylinders on and off pallets and tractor trailers.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Manage paperwork, completing quality control sheets and adhering to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum one year of prior experience in a manufacturing operation, filling, or loading experience preferred.
  • Strong background in gas, welding, and safety supply industry or chemical industry preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift.
