About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team at Tential. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Linux-based systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Provide day-to-day system administration for our Linux-based infrastructure, including server management, user account management, and security.
  • Infrastructure Development: Collaborate with our development team to design and implement new infrastructure solutions, including containerization and orchestration.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new systems and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and best practices with the team to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux system administration, with a strong focus on infrastructure development and troubleshooting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Linux CLI, debugging tools, and network stack; knowledge of core networking, subnetting, firewalls, and routing; ability to troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, MetalLB, haproxy, Harbor, Calico, and Kubespray.
  • Storage: Experience with storage appliances, with a focus on NAS and iSCSI protocols.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
