We are currently seeking a skilled UAS Program Specialist to enhance our team.

Role Summary:

The UAS Program Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the School of Uncrewed Technology by assisting the Program Chair in addressing technical challenges faced by students with the equipment used in their studies. This position also collaborates with the curriculum development team, contributing expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the creation of new course materials. Additionally, the specialist may be tasked with revising existing courses based on feedback from annual reviews and other assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a SME within the Content Committee, reviewing and providing feedback on course drafts.
  • Serve as on-screen talent for instructional videos, webinars, and recorded lectures as needed.
  • Contribute to course development for the School of Uncrewed Technology.
  • Develop specialized content for SUT courses when required.
  • Maintain accurate records, adhere to departmental protocols, and meet deadlines.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives to promote the growth of the Institute.
  • Support business development efforts as necessary.
  • Travel as required for in-person training and content creation.
  • Assist in updating current PRPIC offerings.
  • Ensure that training equipment is operational and ready for use.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in Uncrewed Technology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in UAS services or aircraft development, including training and education of flight operations personnel.
  • Preferred experience in online teaching.
  • In-depth knowledge of Uncrewed Technology.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for events and training.
  • Advanced technical skills related to UAS and computer usage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with learning management systems for course development and delivery.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and providing outstanding service.
  • Capacity to work independently and complete assignments as directed.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while focusing on student success.
  • High level of professionalism in interactions with students and faculty.
