We are currently seeking a highly skilled Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our team.
">About the Role
">The successful candidate will provide clinical behavioral health services to patients of all ages in our Primary Care clinic. This role involves conducting psychosocial assessments, assigning diagnoses, creating treatment plans, and implementing interventions. The specialist will also facilitate related services, provide treatment services to a caseload, and collaborate with primary care providers.
">Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and assign diagnoses according to DSM 5 and ICD 10.">
- Create treatment plans and implement interventions with patients in Primary Care clinics.">
- Facilitate related services, respecting patient confidentiality and privacy.">
- Provide treatment services to a caseload assigned, based on factors such as patient engagement and modalities provided.">
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers.">
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.">
- Document patient information accurately and confidentially in electronic medical records (EMRs).">
- Participate in Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance activities.">
Qualifications
">- ">
- Must hold a valid New York State license to provide mental health services (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) is required.">
- Advanced degree in mental health counseling, social work, or a related field is required.">
- Experience working with target populations is strongly preferred, including individuals with serious mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, HIV/AIDS, chronic illness, LGBTQ+, and immigrants.">
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient assessments and treatment plans.">
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.">
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative and individual settings.">
- Fluency in Spanish or one of Asian languages is a plus.">
- Ability to work with diverse backgrounds in multicultural settings.">
- Ability to work with Limited English Proficient populations and interpretation support.">
- Familiarity with e Clinical Works (eCW) is preferred.">
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to enter data accurately.">
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.">
Compensation and Benefits
">The estimated salary for this position is $70,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience. At Apicha, we offer a competitive employee benefits package, including paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, health insurance coverage, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and an employee assistance program.
