Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Architect to join our Arlington, Virginia studio and work on healthcare projects. As an Architect, you will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and applying standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and select standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Perform assignments with specific objectives, requiring investigation of a limited set of variables.
  • Follow instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
  • Perform architectural assignments with direction, but without immediate supervision, and with limited design responsibility.
  • Recommend and select procedures.
  • Write reports and specifications covering architectural matters.
  • Take responsibility for phases of individual revenue-producing projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience.
  • Registered Architect.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes.
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Experience in the areas of healthcare, educational, civic, science, and research facilities.
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and 3-D Studio Max but not required.
  • Rhino and Grasshopper experience.
  • Local candidates preferred.
