Cloud Architect Job Description

At Booz Allen Hamilton, we're seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to join our team of experienced professionals. As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you'll play a crucial role in designing, defining, developing, testing, and debugging cloud solution components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers to design and develop cloud solutions
  • Work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps
  • Use products like Kubernetes to further the mission
  • Partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions
  • Grow your skills at the leading edge of innovation
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in IT applications or managing infrastructure and applications in an enterprise environment
  • 4+ years of experience with managing applications within a Cloud Service Provider, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, computer, and database fundamentals
  • Knowledge of operating systems, including Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, or Red Hat
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP Certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with troubleshooting or deploying enterprise applications
  • Experience with developing or improving application architecture to ensure client needs are met
  • Experience with managing Containers or Virtual Machines
  • Experience with using Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins
  • Experience with scripting tools, including Bash, PowerShell, JSON, and Python
  • Knowledge of Terraform and CloudFormation, or IAC tools

Salary at Booz Allen Hamilton is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD).
