Shaw Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Specialist to manage the supportability, ownership, and oversight of locally deployed automation and control solutions in a manufacturing facility.
This position will be based in Cartersville, GA, and will involve designing and implementing capital and process improvement projects, maintaining and enforcing corporate electrical standards, and ensuring the supportability of all automation solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial electrical best practices, regulatory codes, and network theory, as well as experience with PLCs, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other controls-related systems and equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and implement capital and process improvement projects
- Maintain and enforce corporate electrical standards
- Ensure supportability of all automation solutions
- Work with CIM and other Shaw Automation Engineers to share knowledge and leverage resources
- Mentor, evaluate, and develop local plant technical resources
Qualifications include:
- Associate's degree in Electrical related program with at least 5 years of Automation Experience OR Bachelor's degree in any Engineering field with at least 1 year of Automation Experience
- Experience with PLCs, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other controls-related systems and equipment
- Strong business and communication skills
- Strong management and leadership skills
