We are seeking a qualified individual to fill a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Music Business degree program at Dallas Baptist University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in The Musician as Entrepreneur, History of Commercial Music, Introduction to Music Business, and Music Business Internship
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Provide spiritual mentorship and care to students
  • Participate in departmental and university service
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in music or music business required
  • Master's degree in music, MBA, or related field required
  • Certifications in sound production, recording, marketing, or related fields beneficial
  • Professional industry experience and/or collegiate-level teaching experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Creative mindset in navigating the changes in the music industry
  • Ability to teach a variety of music business courses

This is a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position starting August 1, 2024.
