The Department of Clinical Nutrition at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Clinical Nutrition Faculty. This position combines teaching, clinical expertise, and research background to support the institution's mission in education and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver courses in clinical nutrition, dietetics, and related subjects.
  • Foster an engaging learning environment through lectures, seminars, and practical sessions as needed.
  • Stay updated with advancements in clinical nutrition research and incorporate them into teaching.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and academic governance.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff to enhance departmental operations.
  • Conduct research in clinical nutrition and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Mentor students in research projects and foster a culture of scholarly inquiry.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay current in the field.
  • Serve on professional committees and contribute to community outreach initiatives.

  • Experience: Significant clinical experience in nutrition practice, preferably in a healthcare setting. Teaching experience at the university level is desirable.
  • Certification: Board certification in Clinical Nutrition (e.g., CNSC, CSO) is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Proficiency in instructional technology and curriculum design.
