Position OverviewThe Phlebotomy Technician plays a crucial role in the collection of specimens for laboratory analysis within the inpatient environment. This position involves working with a diverse patient population, from newborns to the elderly. Team members are allocated to various inpatient units based on demand and are expected to deliver prompt and precise service.
QualificationsExperienceA minimum of 1 year of experience in phlebotomy is required.
Language SkillsBilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are preferred.
Educational BackgroundA High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Certification RequirementsProof of formal training in Phlebotomy or Medical Assisting is necessary; annual recertification is not required. PBT (ASCP) certification is highly desirable.
