This position is situated within our financial reporting valuation division, which primarily conducts valuations for stock compensation (ASC 718 / 409A), purchase price allocations (ASC 805), and impairment testing (ASC 350 / 360).
This opportunity is perfect for individuals eager to gain experience across a diverse array of valuation projects involving private equity-backed portfolio companies and publicly traded firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, adjust, and apply financial models for business enterprise valuation (DCF, market multiples, etc.) and intangible asset valuation (excess earnings method, relief-from-royalty, etc.)
- Assess complex securities and contingent considerations utilizing option pricing and Monte Carlo simulation methodologies.
- Compile company background information, industry trends, capital markets data, and valuation analyses into client-ready reports.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a valuation firm or public accounting environment.
- Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) or a Master's degree (MS or MBA) in Finance. Coursework in valuation or securities analysis is advantageous.
- CFA designation or in the process of obtaining it.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and analytical abilities are essential.
- Capable of managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and navigating dynamic, time-sensitive engagements within a small team.
- Demonstrated work ethic and flexibility to accommodate critical deadlines.
