Job Title: Project Superintendent - Industrial Construction

Acloche-Direct Hire is seeking a highly experienced Project Superintendent to oversee on-site construction operations for our industrial projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise full-cycle construction activities, including setting up project sites and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Direct field personnel, including contractors, suppliers, and vendors, to achieve project completion on schedule with quality workmanship.
  • Maintain construction schedules, identify and solve problems, and keep progress schedules current.
  • Order materials, schedule inspections, and promote job site safety.
  • Ensure all employees and contractors adhere to company safety policies and attend safety meetings.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely submittal logs, receive approved submittals, and notify project teams of potential schedule impacts.
  • Assist project managers with change requests and ensure timely completion of project close-out documents.
  • Distribute contract documents to subcontractors, schedule construction meetings, and take accurate meeting minutes.
  • Attend owner/architect pre-bid, project, and closeout meetings, and solicit subcontractors and suppliers for proposals.
  • Prepare correspondence with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and submit building permit applications.
  • Proactively manage projects to achieve quality, schedule, budget, and safety goals, and document quality and progress of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Inform management of productivity, costs, quality control, document management, and processing of applications for payment.
  • Prepare and supervise completion of final punch lists, maintain organized job sites, and promote positive relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible field experience in industrial projects as a Prime Contractor.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction field.
  • Strong and effective communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to interface with various departments, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project.
  • Ability to travel extensively and relocate.
Environmental and Physical Demands:
  • Typical construction site environment.
  • Physically fit to walk on construction sites, climb stairs, and monitor activities.
  • Far vision at 20 feet or further, near vision at 20 inches or less, and ability to lift 50 pounds or less.
  • Pushing and pulling objects weighing 60-80 pounds on wheels, and ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, bend, twist, and reach.
  • Talking and hearing, with the use of a phone, and holding a valid US driver's license.
