Lovelace Medical Center is seeking a Night Shift, Full-Time Charge Registered Nurse for our Adult Psychiatric Unit in Albuquerque, NM.

Your Role

The Charge RN is responsible for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in their charge.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing efficient patient flow
  • Appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions
  • Collaborating with unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Serving as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers, and staff
  • Adhering to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing
  • One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting or more than one year of clinical or management experience
  • CPR
  • Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Certification in clinical specialty
  • National Certification in specialty care
