**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Lifespan. As a Recreational Therapist, you will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational therapy programs for patients on the behavioral medicine units. You will conduct group and individual sessions, assessing patient conditions and recommending appropriate recreational activities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan and implement recreational therapy programs for patients on the behavioral medicine units.
- Conduct group and individual sessions, assessing patient conditions and recommending appropriate recreational activities.
- Instruct patients in various techniques such as movement and exercise, music, art, dance, and relaxation.
- Participate in disciplinary treatment planning and display good report writing skills.
**Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or a creative arts therapy field.
- Registration with the National Therapy Certification Board Inc. is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direct others in performance of their duties.
**Salary Range:** $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
