Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Ascension Seton Northwest. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, medical history, and treatment plans, and communicate with healthcare team members as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • One year of experience in an Emergency Department or critical care setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
