CFA Institute is actively looking for talented individuals to become part of our expanding Property & Casualty Actuarial Consulting team as an Actuarial Consultant. This role necessitates collaboration with a group of experts to independently assess intricate challenges and devise effective solutions for self-insured clients. The selected candidate will engage with CFA Institute's clientele, which encompasses significant self-insured entities, captive insurance firms, regulatory bodies, and P&C insurance organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on loss reserving initiatives, with additional responsibilities in pricing/ratemaking, predictive analytics, economic capital modeling, and customer loyalty programs.
- Demonstrate the ability to integrate into ongoing projects, taking charge of tasks and ensuring effective communication with clients.
- Review and validate analysts' work, ensuring technical precision and integrity across various analyses, templates, and presentations.
- Compile, verify, and assess client data for reasonability.
- Utilize advanced actuarial theories and principles to develop statistical models.
- Prepare and/or supervise the creation of production exhibits and written reports to convey findings.
- Assist or lead in the development of proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Participate in client meetings and marketing presentations as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of two actuarial exams completed; progress towards ACAS/FCAS is preferred.
- 4+ years of actuarial experience within the property and casualty sector, particularly with large self-insured corporations, captives, (re)insurers, and regulatory bodies. Previous consulting experience is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, with a capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to foster strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
- Proven track record of promoting a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement within the practice and across the broader organization.
- Willingness to travel as required to support client engagements and business development efforts.
- Self-driven and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to create client-focused solutions.
- Collaborative team player, capable of functioning effectively in a cross-functional setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with R, SAS, SQL, or VBA is a plus.

The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
