Position: Body Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated body technician who possesses a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. This role involves executing collision repairs with precision and care, adhering to established protocols, industry benchmarks, and the standards set by our insurance partners. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess damaged vehicles and develop an efficient repair strategy.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members regarding the status of vehicle repairs.
  • Deliver high-quality repairs while maintaining timelines.
  • Make informed decisions on whether to repair or replace parts, taking into account safety, cost, and time efficiency.
  • Disassemble vehicle components, including upholstery and trim, to access areas requiring repair.
  • Engage in all mandatory safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Utilize both power and hand tools to file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.
  • Guide and mentor apprentices in their tasks, addressing any complex issues that arise.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in collision repair.
  • Proficient in executing a range of repairs, from light to heavy, including structural work.
  • Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • High productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capable of reading and comprehending instructions, estimates, and repair orders, and effectively communicating with the team.
  • Willingness to support and train apprentice body technicians.
  • Certification from I-CAR or ASE is advantageous.
