Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Body Technician to join our team at TAG Auto Group. As a Body Technician, you will be responsible for performing collision repairs safely and efficiently, following industry standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine damaged vehicles and plan repair processes to ensure timely and quality results.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless vehicle repair status updates.
  • Perform high-quality repairs while maintaining on-time delivery and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Make informed decisions regarding repair versus replacement, considering factors such as safety, cost, and cycle time.
  • Remove and reinstall vehicle components, including upholstery, accessories, and electrical systems, to access damaged areas.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools to file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.
  • Supervise and train junior technicians as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure successful task completion.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in collision repair, with a focus on structural work.
  • Ability to complete a wide range of repairs, from light to heavy, with a strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail.
  • High production capabilities and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with colleagues.
  • Willingness to support and train junior technicians and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
  • I-CAR or ASE certifications are highly valued but not required.
