Project Manager Job Description

Trilon Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Engineering/Transportation team in Sanford or Orlando, FL. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in driving project excellence by coordinating the efforts of project teams, contractors, and vendors to meet and exceed project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Oversee the collaborative efforts among firm disciplines, project management teams, and business development teams.
  • Strategically develop the negotiation process and manage the planning, financial strategies, modifications or adjustments, and invoicing process.
  • Lead project teams, providing direction and ensuring alignment with project goals and organizational objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Conducts weekly coordination and reporting with clients and leadership, delivering detailed updates on projects and program performance regarding quality, status, schedule, and budget.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software platforms.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team.
  • Comfortable working and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices.
  • Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated.
Education and Experience:
  • B.S. in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • At least 10+ years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering firm.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite (or similar) experience is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer license in State of Florida (or ability to obtain a FL PE) is preferred.
