Position Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to:
  • Execute a diverse range of mechanical assembly tasks. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering documentation while applying sound judgment in following instructions. Capable of learning to produce various complex assemblies, primarily through on-the-job training and observation.
Key Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Interpreting assembly and component blueprint drawings and packages.
  • Implementing processing instructions and completing associated documentation accurately.
  • Receiving general guidance on new assignments.
  • Maintaining minimal scrap levels.
  • Operating high-temperature hydrogen atmosphere furnaces for assembly tasks, including brazing button/body components.
  • Assembling units with heaters using potting techniques.
  • Understanding all furnace operations, including calibration processes.
  • Utilizing a cut-off wheel and ohm meter effectively.
  • Documenting accurate information on assembly records, logs, and reports.
  • Using personal documentation for reference during repetitive tasks.
  • Adapting to changes in process improvements or instruction updates.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education / Training / Experience:
  • Must possess reading, writing, basic mathematics, and mechanical comprehension skills. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Language Proficiency:
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret detailed instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing simple documentation and effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings.
Mathematical / Analytical Skills:
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

  • Regularly required to use hands for manual dexterity, handle objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, primarily performed using a microscope.
