Maintenance Mechanic II Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team at Harry David, a leading gourmet food gifting company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing daily maintenance on complex food processing machinery, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Perform daily maintenance on food processing machinery, including daily change overs, monthly preventative maintenance, and repair of complex specialized equipment
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify and correct weaknesses in equipment, extending its lifespan
* Design and fabricate parts and complex systems for modification and/or replacement
* Use sophisticated tools and machinery, including CNC machines, metal lathes, and milling machines, to perform work with tight tolerances
* Weld using TIG, MIG, arc, gas, and argon on small, intricate, and complex pieces and various metals, including stainless steel and aluminum
* Make equipment more user-friendly and easier to clean, saving time and ensuring proper food safety and sanitation

**Requirements:**

* 2+ years of food production maintenance experience in an industrial environment
* Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools, standard power tools, basic machining tools, measuring devices, and lockout/tagout procedures
* Previous experience with hot work permits, confined space awareness, chemical hazard communication, and food safety is a plus
